Wedding Candle Centerpieces
Wedding candle centerpieces are a great alternative to traditional flower centerpieces.
A lot of thought and planning goes into every aspect of your wedding day, the ceremony, your dress, the food as well as decorating the space where you’ll be having the wedding reception.
One of the first things guests often comment on when walking into the reception hall are the centerpieces, so you want yours to stand out and to be memorable.
Candles are always elegant and add a beautiful glow to each table. Arranging them on a table can be accomplished in so many different ways that yours will be unique to your wedding.
You can arrange different sized candles on a mirror so that the light reflects off of it. Or you can choose beautiful glass lanterns or enclosed glass cases to house a colored candle of your choice.
There is such a variety of of sizes, shapes and colors to choose from that you will be able to match your candles to your wedding reception’s theme easily.
Add sea blue candles to some beach sand in the middle of the table and arrange tiny seashells and other beach themed decorations to the mix and you have beautiful wedding candle centerpieces that will look incredible and have folks commenting on them for days after the reception.
If you’re getting married in the Fall, throw brightly colored fall leaves in the middle of your reception tables and use shelled out pumpkins to house your candles for an incredibly unique centerpiece.
Winter weddings are becoming more popular and having beautiful white or red candles surrounded by holly or silver snowflakes that glitter in candlelight are a great, elegant choice for your centerpieces. A wreath surrounding your choice of colored candles is also a great wedding reception centerpiece idea for the Winter months.
If you’re really into do it yourself wedding centerpieces you could even make your own candles and decorate them with a picture of the bride and groom or carve the date of your wedding into them. These would be great wedding candle centerpieces that everyone would want to take home and save as a memento of your special day.
For an outdoor or garden themed wedding these centerpiece will set any reception apart. Whimsical handmade pinwheels placed in a jar with raffia bows will add movement in a soft breeze at the reception.
Beach weddings are tremendously popular today and carrying the theme throughout the reception is always a nice touch.
Potted plants can also be used and then given to close relatives and friends who are at the wedding.
